{"id":607,"date":"2010-11-09T22:02:29","date_gmt":"2010-11-09T12:02:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.madox.net\/blog\/?p=607"},"modified":"2010-11-09T22:02:55","modified_gmt":"2010-11-09T12:02:55","slug":"my-5-cents-worth-where-2-cents-just-isnt-enough","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.madox.net\/blog\/2010\/11\/09\/my-5-cents-worth-where-2-cents-just-isnt-enough\/","title":{"rendered":"My 5 cents worth&#8230; where 2 cents just isn&#8217;t enough"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Though it was my first choice for this project, the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Australian_2_cent_coin\" target=\"_blank\">Australian 2 cent coin<\/a> has been withdrawn from circulation in 1992 and is rather difficult to get a hold of. \u00a0Next in line is the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Australian_5_cent_coin\" target=\"_blank\">Australian 5 cent coin<\/a>, which apparently at certain times the metal value exceeds the face value. \u00a0The important attribute for this project is the weight of the coin, the 5 cent coin is almost half as light as the 2 cent, 2.83g vs 5.18g respectively. \u00a0What kind of project is this where the weight of the coin is important?!?<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes while trawling the \u00a0stupidities of some internet forums [or Youtube comments!!!], one is tempted to put their 2 cents worth into the discussion. \u00a0Though the temptation is strong, that usually means lowering yourself to posting in a stupid thread just to try in vain correct some idiots stupidity. \u00a0Thus the idea was born of giving someone your 2 cents [5 cents now due to aforementioned difficulties] worth in a different way&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The 2 cent\/5 cent coin dispenser \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;..
