How to open Canon CR2 Raws in Ubuntu

Or more correctly, how to open Canon CR2 Raw Files for editing in Ubuntu using GIMP. F-Spot the default image viewer in Ubuntu already allows you to open Canon CR2 Raw images for viewing.
